Raksha Bandhan Celebration

 


VKV Nirjuli celebrated Rakshabandhan on 3rd August 2020 with traditional fervor and gaiety on the school premises. Prior to the celebration  of the auspicious occasion,  a myriad of activities were designed to angment the grandeur of the program. On the eve of the celebration students were informed and motivated to celebrate the festival by preparing rakhis by their own creative ways and by tying rakhis to their parents and to their siblings and to capture the moment of celebration.

    On the day of Raksha Bandhan celebration an audio clip with a message  of Raksha Bandhan wish to children and parents,  a brief note on the significance of the festival and few elegantly designed Rakshabandhan cards were send to the whatsapp groups of all classes at 6AM in the morning.

    Overwhelming responses from students, celebrating Rakshabandhan at home with parents and siblings and in the neighborhood are received in the forjm of photographs captured at the moment of the celebration.

    On the school premises celebration of Rakshabandhan started at 11AM with the participation of 43 residential staff members. Rakhis were  prepared by the residential staff members.

     To mark the celebration Rakhis were tied to the portrait of Swamiji and AUM by Priyanka Didi and Manju Dixit Didi. Rakhis were also tied to the peepal and banayan trees in front of the school by all the members. During the celebration, Shri. Gyaneswar Mishra and Priyanka Didi highlighted the significance of Rakshabandhan.

   Amidst the pandemic situation the school significantly endeavored to reach out to the children in various endearing ways consolidating the understanding of the need of strengthening the relationship.
